Flea market, crafts and auto-moto gathering in Cocherel for the May 8 weekend
After the success of the April edition, Cocherel does it again in early May with a new flea market, crafts and auto-moto gathering formula held on May 8 and 9, 2026, taking advantage of the Victory Day long weekend. Exhibitors set up in the community hall parking lot, in a convenient setting that allows to accommodate a large number of stands and vehicles.
The interest of this event lies in its ability to reach several audiences in a single event. Flea market lovers find their happiness among the stands of antique objects, retro furniture and various trinkets. Craft enthusiasts can exchange with local creators and bring home a unique handmade piece. Car and motorcycle fans, finally, admire sometimes rare vintage vehicles and discuss with their owners.
Cocherel is a small commune in Seine-et-Marne located in the Ourcq valley, about fifteen kilometers northeast of Meaux. With its approximately 620 inhabitants, the Cocherellois, it has managed to keep its village character while developing an active associative life.
In a context where short circuits and handmade items are seducing more and more consumers, the craft spaces of flea markets like the one in Cocherel play an essential role.
The May 8 long weekend is traditionally one of the first big spring outing weekends in France. Many flea markets take advantage of this strategic date to offer their event, and the one in Cocherel stands out for its original format.
