Châtillon-sur-Indre is a commune of about 2,500 inhabitants located in the Indre valley, between Buzançais and Loches. The town has a remarkable medieval heritage with its 12th-century cylindrical keep, one of the best-preserved in the region, and its Romanesque church with sculpted capitals. The shopping street enlivens the town center, and the Christmas market is part of a festive tradition deeply rooted in local life.
The Christmas market is enlivened by the presence of Santa Claus for photos, a raffle with gift baskets and many prizes, as well as food stalls offering crepes, waffles, fries, hot meals, and mulled wine. Admission is free. Hours: 10 am to 8 pm.
The Châtillon-sur-Indre Christmas market returns on December 7, 2026, with 97 exhibitors.
