Stamps, postcards, pins and vintage toys in the land of the Popes
On Saturday 25 April 2026, the Orange Philatelic Club organises a Collections Fair in Châteauneuf-du-Pape, the celebrated wine village of Vaucluse. Stamps, old postcards, champagne muselets, pins, vintage toys, fèves, phonecards, old papers, coins, model trains, minerals: the fair gathers collectors from the northern Vaucluse and Drôme Provençale, in the prestigious setting of the former summer residence of the Avignon Popes.
On Saturday 25 April 2026, Châteauneuf-du-Pape hosts a Collections Fair organised by the Orange Philatelic Club, one of the most active collector circles of the northern Vaucluse. This fair, open to all collectors and the curious, brings together professional and amateur exhibitors around a remarkable range of themes. Unlike general flea markets, the multi-collections fair targets an informed audience seeking precise pieces and rare curiosities.
Stalls typically offer stamps classified by country and era, old postcards (Châteauneuf-du-Pape and Comtat villages), champagne muselets (placomusophilie), pins, vintage toys (Dinky Toys, Majorette, figurines, tin games), fèves from Epiphany galettes, phonecards, old documents, coins and banknotes, railway and automotive modelling, minerals and fossils.
Hosting a collections fair in Châteauneuf-du-Pape is particularly evocative. This village, one of France's most famous vineyards, takes its name from the Avignon Popes who built their summer residence here in the 14th century. The ruins of the papal castle still dominate the village, offering a grand panorama over the Rhône valley. Collectors can combine the fair with a tasting at an emblematic domaine.
