The 11th November flea market at the Sillans village hall
Every November 11th, a public holiday, the Sillans village hall hosts the flea market organized by the Sou des Écoles. This indoor flea market has become a traditional event for the villagers and bargain hunters of Bièvre iséroise, who take advantage of this day off to find good deals.
The Sou des Écoles de Sillans is a parents' association that works to improve the daily lives of the children attending school in the commune. The profits from the flea market are used to fund school trips, shows, educational materials, and extracurricular activities. By hunting for bargains at the flea market, visitors directly support the school life of the village.
Sillans is a village of about 1,800 inhabitants located in the Bièvre plain, in Isère. The village hall, rue de la République, offers a pleasant covered space for this autumn flea market. The rural setting and village atmosphere are the charm of this event where everyone knows each other and conviviality is key.
During this autumn period, the indoor format is particularly appreciated. Exhibitors display their items on tables in a heated and lit space, allowing visitors to browse comfortably. Tableware, trinkets, toys, clothes, books, and small flea market items make up the varied offer of this village flea market.
