Cenon-sur-Vienne flea market

Cenon-sur-Vienne is in Grand Châtellerault, right bank of the Vienne river, a few km northeast of Châtellerault. Around 2,000 inhabitants, nicely set between the river valley, Moulière forest and farmland. Each year the Festival Committee runs a flea market — popular with bargain-hunters from Châtellerault and nearby towns. 2025: Sunday 7 September. 2026: Wednesday 1 July, confirmed on brocabrac.fr.

By the Vienne river

The setting is a strong asset. Near the Vienne, the event enjoys a cool shaded environment, particularly pleasant in summer. Visitors can combine bargain-hunting, a riverside picnic and a walk on the towpaths. Cenon is also a popular starting point for Vienne-river cycling loops.

Saint-Christophe church (with Romanesque elements) is a heritage highlight. Strong residential role, very close to Châtellerault (industry, shops).
