About Carpentras Winter Sale
A tradition established over decades, the Winter Shopkeepers' Sale takes over the historic centre of Carpentras every early February. For three days, from 9am to 7pm, shops in the heart of the city display their goods on the pavement to clear winter collections at reduced prices. Organised by the Carpentras Notre Ville association, a commercial institution of the Comtat Venaissin capital.

The Winter Sale is a historic event in Carpentras' commercial calendar. For decades, it has marked the beginning of February with winter commercial animation in the city. Organised by the Carpentras Notre Ville association, which brings together the downtown shopkeepers, it transforms for three days the pedestrian streets and squares of the historic centre into a huge open-air showcase.

The historic centre of Carpentras, medievally laid out around Saint-Siffrein cathedral, still hosts a great diversity of independent shops: fashion (ready-to-wear, shoes, leather goods), decoration, jewellery, tableware, bookshops, confectionery (berlingots, calissons), Provençal products, perfumery.
What to find
Bargains across all categories: women's, men's and children's clothing (jumpers, coats, ankle boots, shoes), leather goods (bags, belts, wallets), home decor, jewellery, accessories, books, gift items. Discounts range from 30 to 70%, or more on final winter pieces.
Carpentras Winter Sale — edition 2026
From Friday 6 to Sunday 8 February 2026, from 9am to 7pm, Carpentras downtown shopkeepers held their annual Winter Sale. Three days of intense commercial animation in the pedestrian streets of the historic centre, with massive clearances of autumn-winter collections, orchestrated by the Carpentras Notre Ville association.
2026 Winter Sale Review
From 6 to 8 February 2026, the Winter Sale once again gathered the Carpentras population and visitors from the Comtat Venaissin in the historic centre. Shopkeepers members of the Carpentras Notre Ville association brought their goods out onto the pavements for three days of intense clearance.
Ready-to-wear, shoes, leather goods, decoration, jewellery, gift items: all categories were represented with discounts from 30 to 70%.
