Grand September car boot sale during the Fair in the Land of Tarte Tatin, 180 exhibitors
Every September, the canal basin in Lamotte-Beuvron hosts a large car boot sale with 180 exhibitors as part of the Fair in the Land of Tarte Tatin. This festive event, now in its 28th edition, combines popular bargain hunting with Sologne traditions.
The Fair in the Land of Tarte Tatin is one of the flagship events of Sologne. It celebrates the famous upside-down apple tart, legendarily invented by the Tatin sisters at the hotel of the same name in Lamotte-Beuvron. The Tarte Tatin competition is the highlight of the day, with creations vying for flavor.
Beyond the car boot sale with 180 exhibitors, the fair offers a fair of regional producers with 80 exhibitors, building artisan demonstrations, a mini-fair, children's entertainment, and on-site catering. It's a full day for the whole family.
