The Car Boot Sales of the Karaté Club Landivisiau

The Karaté Club Landivisiau is one of the most active organizers of flea markets and car boot sales in northern Finistère. Each year, it offers several editions at the Kervanous hall, boulevard de la République, in Landivisiau: one in March, one in April, and one in September. These regular events allow residents of the region to sell their unused items and bargain hunters to find good deals at a steady pace.

Each edition hosts between 50 and 100 exhibitors, both individuals and professionals. Visitors are welcomed from 8 am to 6 pm, with an entry fee of €1.50. For exhibitors, tables and chairs are provided, and the pitch fee is set at €4 per linear meter, with a coffee offered to participants. A refreshment stand and catering services are available on site, as well as restrooms and parking.

A sports club serving local life

The Karaté Club Landivisiau uses these car boot sales as a source of funding for its sports activities. The organization is entirely managed by volunteers, giving the event a warm and relaxed atmosphere. Three editions per year cover both spring — with moves, inheritances, and the big spring cleaning — and the back-to-school season, a good time for second-hand purchases.

Landivisiau, a market town of traditions

Landivisiau (29400) is a commune in the Léon region with about 9,000 inhabitants, 30 kilometers northeast of Brest. Its reputation as a lively town is notably based on its large weekly Wednesday market, one of the most important in Brittany with several hundred merchants and fairground people. It is also famous for its parish enclosure with the Renaissance porch of the Saint-Thivisiau church, classified as a Historic Monument. The Kervanous hall, a central multipurpose facility, hosts many sporting and cultural events throughout the year.
