Edition Avril 2025 — Car boot sale Viala-du-Pas-de-Jaux
The 2025 edition of the Car boot sale of Viala-du-Pas-de-Jaux was held in April in this Hospitaller village on the Larzac plateau. At the foot of the fortified 15th-century granary tower, 30 meters high and nicknamed the lighthouse of the Larzac, the inhabitants of the causse gathered for a day of spring treasure hunting. Everyone was invited to sort through their belongings, empty their cupboards, and give their items a second life. Tableware, books, clothes, toys, and trinkets found new owners in the friendly atmosphere of this tiny village of 88 souls, in the heart of the UNESCO-listed agro-pastoral landscape.

In April 2025, the Car boot sale of Viala-du-Pas-de-Jaux brought together locals and visitors in this small Hospitaller village on the Larzac plateau in Aveyron. At the foot of the imposing 15th-century fortified granary tower, private stalls offered a good variety of second-hand items in a warm, village atmosphere.
The causse spring provided an ideal setting for this treasure hunting day: green lawns, crisp air at 700 meters altitude, and panoramic views of the Causses and Cévennes. The exhibitors, from the village and neighboring towns of Sainte-Eulalie-de-Cernon, La Cavalerie, and Tournemire, offered old tableware, books and magazines about the region, clothing, children's toys, trinkets accumulated over the years, and small furniture. The spirit was that of an authentically rural car boot sale, where conviviality takes precedence over commerce.
