An Easter car boot sale in a listed village

Every year at Easter, the Sergeac festival committee organizes its car boot sale in the village center, one of the most picturesque in the Vézère valley. Exhibitors set up their stalls in the village streets and squares to offer bargain hunters furniture, tableware, clothing, toys, and second-hand trinkets, in a remarkable architectural and landscape setting.

Sergeac, jewel of the Vézère valley

Sergeac is a small village of about 200 inhabitants nestled in the Vézère valley, between Montignac-Lascaux and Les Eyzies. The village has exceptional heritage: a Templar commandery, a 12th-century Romanesque church, and is located in the area classified as a UNESCO World Heritage site for its prehistoric sites. The setting of limestone cliffs and pubescent oaks makes it one of the most beautiful sites in Périgord noir.

A full weekend of festivities

The car boot sale is part of Sergeac's Easter celebration, a festive weekend that includes a funfair with rides and inflatable structures, an egg hunt for children, a batucada performance, a dancing dinner in the evening with a DJ, and fireworks. Crepes, cotton candy, drinks, and food are available throughout the weekend.
