Experienced visitors start their exploration as soon as it opens to be the first to find the best deals.
Sedan is world-renowned for its imposing medieval fortified castle, one of the largest in Europe with its 35,000 m² area. Overlooking the Meuse valley since the 15th century, this palace-castle fascinates with its extraordinary dimensions and its turbulent history. The town of Sedan, former capital of the principality of Sedan, also possesses a rich architectural and industrial heritage linked to its past as a cloth-making center. The Brocante de la Linette fits perfectly into this tradition of a large town market dating back to medieval fairs.
Created nearly half a century ago, the Brocante de la Linette has stood the test of time, establishing itself as an essential popular gathering in the Ardennes. Its name evokes Sedan's textile tradition, as Sedan was one of the world capitals of woolen cloth from the 17th to the 20th century. Each edition sees a loyal community of bargain hunters, collectors, and families seeking good deals or rare items.
