Exhibitors, exclusively private individuals, set up their stands around the perimeter of the field from 6 AM and remain until 6:30 PM. Bargain hunters flock there to spot the best deals: crockery, toys, clothes, books, tools, small furniture, and trinkets of all kinds.

The Bessy stadium offers a vast outdoor space ideal for this type of event. The green setting of Saint-Paul-en-Jarez, at the gates of the Pilat Regional Natural Park, adds extra charm to this day of bargain hunting.
