Summer car boot sale in Saint-Pargoire, a wine village between Montpellier and Pézenas
Each year in June, the village of Saint-Pargoire (34230) organizes its summer car boot sale. About forty private sellers set up their stalls in the village center to offer clothes, toys, books, crockery, trinkets, and small furniture. The event attracts bargain hunters from the heart of Hérault, from Gignac, Clermont-l'Hérault, and Pézenas.
Located between Montpellier and Pézenas, Saint-Pargoire is a town of about 2,500 inhabitants in the heart of the Languedoc vineyards. The village is renowned for its wine cooperatives and its Languedoc appellation terroir. The Romanesque church, the shaded squares with plane trees, and the cooperative wineries give the town an authentic charm. The weekly Friday morning market enlivens the village center throughout the year.
The Saint-Pargoire car boot sale offers a relaxed atmosphere typical of the small villages of Languedoc. Visitors enjoy strolling between the stalls, chatting with the sellers, and taking advantage of the refreshment stand for a cool break. It's an opportunity to combine the pleasure of bargain hunting with the discovery of an authentic wine village in the heart of Hérault.
