Summer car boot sale in the village of Saint-André-de-Rosans, at the gates of Provençal Drôme
Each summer, the village of Saint-André-de-Rosans hosts a car boot sale bringing together about forty exhibitors in its picturesque streets. The event enlivens this small village in the Baronnies, between Hautes-Alpes and Provençal Drôme, in a relaxed village market atmosphere.
Saint-André-de-Rosans is a remarkable village in the Provençal Baronnies, perched at 720 meters altitude in a wild valley in the south of the Hautes-Alpes department. Its 11th-century Cluniac priory is one of the jewels of Romanesque heritage in the Southern Alps. The village, surrounded by lavender fields, olive trees, and truffle oaks, has a southern charm that distinguishes it from the rest of the Hautes-Alpes.
Exhibitors offer a wide range of second-hand items: old tableware, trinkets, frames and mirrors, books and magazines, toys, clothing, small appliances, tools, linens, and decorative objects. In this southern part of the Hautes-Alpes, you can also find typical objects from the Alpine Provence: pottery, earthenware, Provençal fabrics, wicker baskets, and traditional agricultural tools.
The Provençal Baronnies form a mid-mountain territory on the borders of Drôme, Hautes-Alpes, and Vaucluse. Renowned for their lavender fields, their olive groves, and their linden orchards, the Baronnies offer a bright and fragrant southern setting. The Regional Natural Park of the Provençal Baronnies, created in 2015, protects this exceptional natural and cultural heritage.
