Annual car boot sale on July 14th in Rémuzat, a village in the Baronnies by the Eygues river
Rémuzat is one of the most spectacular villages in the Baronnies drômoises. Nestled against vertiginous limestone cliffs inhabited by bearded vultures and Egyptian vultures, and lulled by the green waters of the Eygues, this village is a prime spot for climbing and hiking in the Parc Naturel Régional des Baronnies Provençales. Every July 14th, it celebrates National Day with its annual car boot sale, combining the joys of rummaging and the great outdoors.
The gorges carved by the Eygues around Rémuzat are among the most beautiful in the Drôme. The grey and white cliffs, hundreds of meters high, are home to one of the largest colonies of nesting birds of prey in France: griffon vultures, bearded vultures, and Egyptian vultures constantly soar above the village. This exceptional site is a top destination for nature lovers, who often take advantage of the July 14th car boot sale to discover or revisit Rémuzat.

Private sellers and a few professional antique dealers offer furniture, crockery, clothing, tools, and various objects in the village alleyways, under the shade of plane trees and stone houses. The atmosphere is that of a small, festive village community, welcoming and authentic.
