23rd edition of the Pleumeleuc car boot sale, organized by the Twinning Committee in the village streets
For over two decades, the Twinning Committee of Pleumeleuc has organized a car boot sale every spring, which has become one of the unmissable events in the Pays de Brocéliande. The 23rd edition unfolds in the village streets — Place de l'Église, Rue de Rennes, Rue de Bédée, Rue de Clayes, Rue de Romillé, and Rue de Bréal — offering a vast outdoor treasure hunt circuit. Approximately 250 private sellers offer clothes, toys, trinkets, tableware, books, tools, and decorative items. From 8 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., visitors stroll between the stalls in a friendly atmosphere, looking for bargains and unusual finds.
Pleumeleuc (35137) is a commune of about 3,500 inhabitants located west of Rennes, at the gates of the forest of Brocéliande. The village, crossed by the Roman road Rennes-Carhaix, retains a rural charm with its parish church, hiking trails, and particularly active community life. The Twinning Committee, a link between Pleumeleuc and its partner towns, finances its cultural exchanges through the organization of this annual car boot sale, which has become a local institution.
Entry is free for visitors. Private sellers book their spot for €7 for 2 linear meters. An identity document is required upon registration. The site has restrooms, disabled access, and a refreshment/food stand. More information on jumelage-pleumeleuc.fr.
From Rennes, take the N12 towards Brest, exit Pleumeleuc (approx. 25 km, 25 min).
Free parking on the outskirts of the village.
