On the banks of Lac de Marcenac, 6 kilometers from Lalbenque on the road to Limogne-en-Quercy, the LaC'oustique association organizes its festive and solidarity car boot sale every summer. Nestled just before the village of Vaylats, this body of water lined with weeping willows offers an exceptional natural setting for a day of outdoor treasure hunting.

An eco-responsible and solidarity car boot sale

LaC'oustique's approach goes far beyond a simple car boot sale: the association, whose full name is LaC'Réactivité, places ecology and solidarity at the heart of each event. A repair stand for household appliances and bicycles, run by the Foyers Ruraux du Lot, allows visitors to have their items repaired rather than thrown away. A zero-waste approach that appeals to an ever-growing audience in the Quercy Blanc.

About fifty exhibitors under the weeping willows

From dawn, exhibitors set up along the shores of Lac de Marcenac, under the leafy canopy of the weeping willows whose bare branches brush the water's surface. Clothes, decorative objects, books, records, toys, second-hand clothing and various curiosities fill the stalls throughout the day. As the lake is a renowned fishing spot, enthusiasts sometimes find used fishing equipment there too.

Entertainment and concerts throughout the day

The LaC'oustique Festival is not limited to the flea market: musical entertainment and concerts punctuate the day, in line with the association's cultural mission. In the afternoon, a swap meet competition is organized especially for children, teaching them the concepts of exchange and sharing in a fun way. Food and drink stands on site complete this festive program.

Over 800 visitors in a unique setting

The event regularly attracts over 800 people throughout the day, coming from all over the Quercy Blanc, the Causse de Limogne and neighboring towns. The beauty of the site, the quality of the exhibitors and the solidarity spirit of the event have made it one of the unmissable summer gatherings in the Lot-et-Garonne region. Entry is free for visitors, and the price for exhibitors is 2.50 euros per linear meter.
