The May 1st car boot sale in L'Hôpital-le-Grand
L'Hôpital-le-Grand, a small village in the Forez plain between Montrond-les-Bains and Saint-Galmier, hosts the Festival Committee's car boot sale every May 1st. This public holiday tradition attracts bargain hunters from all over the plain for a morning of good deals.
A May 1st event
Exhibitors set up from 5 am on pitches offered at 2 euros per linear meter. Visitors arrive from 6 am to browse stalls of toys, clothes, crockery, and various bric-a-brac. Refreshments and light snacks are provided on-site by the Festival Committee volunteers.
The association reserves the right to cancel or modify the event in case of dangerous weather conditions.
