Car boot sale and knitting day organized by the Comité des Fêtes Laurentin
The Comité des Fêtes Laurentin organizes a day combining a car boot sale and a knitting day, rue du Savino in Saint-Laurent-sur-Oust. This original event combines the hunt for second-hand items with a friendly knitting workshop, reflecting the creative and supportive spirit of this small village in Morbihan.
Saint-Laurent-sur-Oust is a small commune of about 400 inhabitants (the Laurentins) located in inland Morbihan, within the Oust à Brocéliande community of communes. The village is crossed by the Oust river, a tributary of the Vilaine, and is located near the Nantes to Brest canal. A bridge over the Oust, built in 2007, connects the town center to the hiking trails and cycle paths along the canal.
This annual event is typical of the lively atmosphere that the festival committees of small Breton villages know how to create. The combination of the car boot sale and knitting attracts a diverse audience, from bargain hunters to craft enthusiasts, in a warm and rural ambiance.
