Grande Journée de Grèzes — 2025 Edition
On Sunday, August 3, 2025, the village of Grèzes displayed all its art de vivre in Margeride for this annual Grande Journée. From 7 am, the car boot sale took place in the village alleys, welcoming local sellers and bargain hunters from all over the region. At 7:30 am, the communal oven came alive for cooking tripes, an emblematic dish that attracts gourmets and lovers of traditional Auvergne cuisine every year.
As the sun rose over the Margeride pastures, the producers' market came to life at 9 am, with mountain cheeses, artisanal charcuterie, garden vegetables, and homemade jams. The midday aperitif marked a friendly break before the afternoon's entertainment: outdoor pétanque, ponies for children, and face painting workshops enlivened the village of Grèzes until late afternoon, under the generous early August sun at an altitude of 1,100 meters.
