Car boot sale, Flower and Car Market of Villefranche-de-Rouergue

On Thursday, May 1st, 2025, the Car Boot Sale, Flower and Car Market once again took over the Foirail de la Madeleine in Villefranche-de-Rouergue for this traditional event organized by the Judo Cultures association. From 7 am to 6 pm, under the large covered hall and in the outdoor areas of avenue du 8 Mai 1945, nearly 300 exhibitors, both individuals and professionals, set up their stalls in a friendly and family atmosphere.

The car boot sale offered a rich and varied selection: tableware, books, vinyl records, clothing, toys, trinkets, small furniture, and tools delighted bargain hunters from all over the Villefranche area and northern Aveyron. The flower market, particularly popular at the beginning of May for planting, allowed amateur gardeners to find vegetable plants, seasonal flowers, shrubs, and floral arrangements. The used car market completed this triple event with a dedicated space for private car sales.

On-site catering, provided by the Judo Cultures association, contributed to the festive atmosphere of the day. The traditional tripe meal, served from 8 am, was as popular as ever with lovers of Rouergat cuisine. Fries, sausages, sandwiches, and crepes were also available throughout the day. This spring edition confirmed the event's status as an unmissable May 1st fixture in Villefranche-de-Rouergue, set against the magnificent backdrop of this royal fortified town founded in 1252 and designated a City of Art and History.
