The Car boot sale Flea market of Rochefort was held every first Sunday of the month in 2025 on the Cours d'Ablois, opposite the Tourist Office. Between 100 and 200 exhibitors offered trinkets, collectibles, vintage crockery, books, and attic curiosities to treasure hunters from the Rochefort area. The prohibition of clothing and shoes ensured an offer focused on traditional flea market finds, within the remarkable heritage setting of this former capital of the royal navy.
The Cours d'Ablois in Rochefort hosted its monthly car boot sale and flea market throughout 2025, adhering to its schedule of the first Sunday of each month. Opposite the Tourist Office, individual and professional exhibitors set up their stalls from 6 a.m., offering a varied assortment of trinkets, collectibles, crockery, second-hand books, and small decorative items.
Free entry and a central location, just a short walk from the Corderie Royale and the Maritime Arsenal, allowed this outdoor flea market to attract a loyal crowd from all along the Charente coast. The ban on selling clothes and shoes helped maintain an authentic flea market atmosphere, appreciated by collectors and casual Sunday strollers alike.
Building on this regular success, the monthly flea market in Rochefort continues its schedule in 2026, still on the first Sunday of the month, on the Cours d'Ablois.
