On August 15, 2025, Vergezac hosted its Fête Votive car boot sale from 6 am to 6 pm on rue de l'Église. About a hundred exhibitors enlivened this festive day with homemade bread and a meal on reservation offered by town hall volunteers.
On August 15, 2025, the rue de l'Église in Vergezac came alive from 6 am to welcome the Fête Votive car boot sale. Some hundred exhibitors set up their stalls along the village's main street, offering twelve hours of treasure hunting to visitors who came in large numbers to enjoy this unmissable summer event.
The homemade bread, baked in the oven by the festival volunteers, delighted visitors throughout the day. This artisanal bakery tradition, characteristic of Auvergne's rural votive festivals, sparked enthusiasm and gluttony among treasure hunters taking a break between finds. The warm bread, with its golden crust and dense crumb, sold out quickly.
At noon and in the early afternoon, the meal on reservation organized by the Vergezac town hall brought together locals and visitors around convivial tables. This tradition of community meals reinforces the festive and popular character of August 15th in Vergezac. The day continued until 6 pm, allowing latecomers to stroll among the stalls in the soft August afternoon light in Haute-Loire.
