Every May 8th, the national Victory Day becomes an excuse for a great festive and popular day in the parking lot of the community hall.

What sets the Lamothe event apart is the unique combination of a classic car boot sale and a bike sale. The Lamothe VTT Club had the idea to combine these two markets to attract a wider audience and create a truly lively day. On one hand, individuals offer their second-hand items to bargain hunters; on the other, cycling enthusiasts find bikes, spare parts, and accessories at affordable prices.

The Bike Sale, a Must-Attend Event for Cyclists

The bike sale is open to the sale of all categories of cycles: mountain bikes, road bikes, city bikes, children's bikes, used electric bikes, as well as all accessories (helmets, cycling shorts, panniers, lights, tools, pumps, etc.). Bikes are submitted in advance to the VTT Club, which receives them in the days preceding the event. This organization allows for a clear and neat presentation of the available equipment. For cyclists in the region — Haute-Loire, Loire, Ardèche — this sale represents an ideal opportunity to renew their equipment or find a first bike for their children.

The Car Boot Sale, a Gathering for Bargain Hunters of the Plain

Simultaneously, the car boot sale welcomes individual exhibitors from 7 am. Crockery, clothing, toys, books, tools, decorative items, and many other second-hand articles are displayed in the parking lot of the community hall until 6 pm. The exhibitor spot fee of €1.50 per linear meter, which is particularly competitive, encourages participation from residents of surrounding communes.

Raffle and Catering: A Friendly and Festive Day

The Lamothe VTT Club spares no effort when it comes to conviviality: a grand raffle with numerous prizes is drawn during the day, livening up the hours following the opening and maintaining the public's enthusiasm. Catering is also available on-site, allowing visitors to eat without leaving the premises. Sandwiches, drinks, and light refreshments are usually on the menu.
