Tigy, a village in the Orléans valley renowned for its asparagus, combines its famous Asparagus Fair with a lively car boot sale every third weekend in May. In the Place de l'Église, second-hand market stalls sit alongside tasting and sales stands for this noble vegetable, the pride of local producers.

A festival blending local produce and second-hand goods

The Tigy Asparagus Fair is one of the most original events in the Loiret region. The SDFI (Société des Fêtes et des Initiatives) has organized this event for many years, bringing together the best of the Loiret region's produce and popular entertainment. On Sunday, a packed program includes: a car boot sale from 10 am, a creators' village, a commemorative exhibition at the village hall, musical entertainment at 2 pm, and shows.
