The APE of Balesmes — the parents' association for the district's school — organizes a car boot sale every spring in the school field, accessible through the gate on rue Saint-Roch. This human-sized event offers toys, children's and adult clothing, books, crockery, and various items in a warm and family-friendly atmosphere.

The APE of Balesmes focuses on welcoming families: activities for children are offered throughout the day, and the refreshments and catering — managed by volunteer parents — offer drinks and homemade snacks. All proceeds are entirely dedicated to educational projects and school trips. Stall prices are among the most affordable in the region: €1.50 per meter for the first three meters, then €1 per additional meter.
