Edition Juillet 2025 — Snail Festival Peyzieux
The 2025 edition of the Snail Festival and car boot sale in Peyzieux-sur-Saône was held on Sunday, July 6th, the first Sunday of the month. Between 50 and 100 exhibitors set up on rue du Beaujolais from 5 am, at a price of 4 euros per linear meter. The three organizing associations offered snail tasting and a refreshment stand, combining local gastronomy and open-air treasure hunting in this Val de Saône village.

Peyzieux-sur-Saône celebrated its traditional Snail Festival on July 6, 2025, combining gastronomic tasting and an open-air car boot sale as every year. Between 50 and 100 exhibitors took their places on rue du Beaujolais, offering visitors objects, clothes, toys, and trinkets in a festive and village atmosphere typical of the Val de Saône.
The three organizing associations, Les Joyeux Peyzieut'Ain, Les Goutteux de Peyzieux, and La Chasse de l'Orée du Bois, provided snail tasting by the plate, as part of a menu, or for takeaway, as well as a well-stocked refreshment stand. This unique combination of traditional gastronomy and open-air flea market attracted residents from surrounding villages for a friendly summer day.
The Snail Festival and its car boot sale will return in July 2026 in Peyzieux-sur-Saône. This gourmet and treasure-hunting event on the first Sunday of July remains a summer must-see in the Val de Saône, combining the pleasures of the table and flea market finds.
