Organized for several years by the Amicale Laïque d'Arvant-Bournoncle, this annual car boot sale has become a must-attend spring event in the Limagne plain of Haute-Loire. It is held every last Sunday of May at Salle Pierre Gayte, in the heart of the village of Arvant, a delegated commune of Bournoncle-Saint-Pierre.

The Salle Pierre Gayte, located at 4 rue du 19 Mars 1962 in Arvant, offers a practical setting with its indoor and outdoor spaces. Its location is unique: less than 100 meters from Arvant station, on the Clermont-Ferrand – Brioude – Le Puy-en-Velay line, it allows visitors and exhibitors to arrive by train. This detail makes it one of the few car boot sales in Haute-Loire accessible without a car from major cities in the region.

A well-established organization

Doors open at 8 am for visitors and close at 6 pm. The prices are clear: €5 for an indoor space, and €3 per 3-meter section outdoors. This advantageous pricing attracts both individuals who want to clear out their attics and amateur flea market dealers from the region. A refreshment stand is available on site, run by association volunteers, allowing participants to eat and extend the experience in a friendly atmosphere.
