The Fauvette Market is a recent event that is already establishing itself in the landscape of flea markets on the eastern Hérault coast. For its 2nd edition in April 2026, it brings together private sellers offering second-hand clothes, toys, books, and trinkets, as well as local artisans presenting their creations. The name evokes the fauvette (warbler), an emblematic bird of the Camargue reed beds that populate the surrounding wetlands.

Marsillargues, a Camargue village in Hérault

Marsillargues is a commune of about 6,500 inhabitants located at the easternmost tip of Hérault, at the gates of the Gard and the Camargue gardoise. This village of Camargue tradition has remarkable heritage: the Château de Marsillargues (16th century), the Romanesque church, and the arenas which host Camargue races and abrivades. The surrounding marshes and lagoons are home to exceptional fauna and flora, with pink flamingos, herons, and Camargue bulls.
