May 1st car boot sale organized by the Amicale de Frontenac, in the Entre-deux-Mers region of Gironde
Every May 1st, the Amicale de Frontenac organizes its annual car boot sale in the village center. Private sellers offer a wide variety of second-hand items: clothing, toys, books, tableware, trinkets, small furniture, and decorative objects. The public holiday attracts a significant family crowd, with visitors taking advantage of this spring break to hunt for treasures in the Gironde countryside.
Frontenac (33760) is a commune of about 700 inhabitants located in the heart of Entre-deux-Mers, between Targon and Sauveterre-de-Guyenne. The village, perched on a hillside, overlooks a landscape of vineyards under the Entre-deux-Mers and Bordeaux appellations. Its Romanesque church and limestone houses give it the typical charm of villages in this wine-growing region. The surrounding countryside, with its hiking trails through vineyards and orchards, makes Frontenac a popular place for walks.
The Amicale de Frontenac enlivens the village life throughout the year. The May 1st car boot sale is one of its flagship events. Entry is free for visitors, and refreshments are provided by volunteers, allowing everyone to fully enjoy this festive day.
From Bordeaux, take the D936 towards La Réole, then the D230 towards Targon and Frontenac. Approximately 50 km east of Bordeaux.
