The car boot sale of the Grande Foire Agricole du Fousseret

Every year in September, Le Fousseret organizes its Grande Foire Agricole et Commerciale, an event that perpetuates a long rural tradition in Volvestre. The car boot sale, set up on the Place du Paty, is one of the main attractions of this fair which draws visitors from all over the south of Haute-Garonne.

The Place du Paty, heart of the fair

The Place du Paty, the central square of Le Fousseret, is transformed for the occasion into a vast open-air flea market. Exhibitors, individuals and regulars of car boot sales, offer a wide choice of items: clothing, toys, books, crockery, trinkets, tools, furniture, garden items, and a thousand other finds. The location in the heart of the village makes it easy for visitors to access and move between the stalls.

A fair rooted in the terroir

The Grande Foire Agricole et Commerciale du Fousseret is much more than just a car boot sale: it offers stands from local breeders and farmers, farm animal demonstrations, a local produce market, and entertainment for the whole family. The car boot sale complements this offer by adding a bargain hunting and discovery dimension to this festive day. The 2025 edition was the 36th of its name, testifying to the deep roots of this event in local life.

Le Fousseret is a village of about 1,800 inhabitants located in Volvestre, between Cazères and Rieumes. This rural village retains its authentic character with its central square, its church, and its local shops. The agricultural fair and its car boot sale are the expression of this dynamic rural life, driven by the association “Se Réunir au Fousseret” in partnership with the municipality.
