The ACCA de Villevieux car boot sale

Every summer in July, the ACCA de Villevieux (Association Communale de Chasse Agréée) organizes a car boot sale at the Salle du Bocal in this village in the Jura plain. Approximately 50 exhibitors participate in this event which attracts bargain hunters from surrounding towns.

A well-organized car boot sale

Pitches are offered at 2 euros per meter, a reasonable price that allows many individuals to come and clear out their attics. The ACCA volunteers ensure serious organization: welcoming exhibitors, setting up tables, and providing light refreshments and drinks throughout the day.

The Salle du Bocal

The Salle du Bocal, Villevieux's community hall, offers indoor and outdoor space to accommodate exhibitors. In good weather, stalls spill outside to enjoy the summer sun. The hall provides shelter in case of rain, ensuring the smooth running of the event.

The usual fifty or so exhibitors offer an eclectic mix of second-hand items: you can find everything from old crockery and trinkets to clothes, books, CDs, garden tools, and children's toys. The Salle du Bocal space, which combines indoor and outdoor areas, allows the event to be organized in good conditions regardless of the weather. The volunteer hunters, known for their welcoming nature, ensure that every participant - seller or visitor - has a pleasant time in this typically rural and relaxed atmosphere.
