The spring flea market of Amiens eastern suburb
Every spring, Camon — a town of about 4,500 inhabitants in Amiens' eastern suburb — organizes its annual flea market. The event takes place around the Louis Aragon community hall, the town's emblematic cultural venue, and attracts Amiens bargain hunters.
Exhibitors, mostly local residents, offer a classic range: tableware, family clothes, second-hand toys, books, comics, vinyls, trinkets, small furniture and decorative items. A few professionals round out the offer.
Camon enjoys a remarkable location: crossed by the Somme river and part of the famous Amiens hortillonnages sector. These floating gardens, unique in Europe, extend over more than 300 hectares of small plots bordered by canals. Flea market visitors can extend their day with a boat trip through this exceptional landscape.
The Camon flea market has that quality of small suburban réderies: a relaxed atmosphere, accessible prices, closeness between exhibitors and visitors. You come as a family, meet neighbours. Refreshments are provided by volunteers.
Arrive early for the best deals. Parking around the community hall. Camon is easily accessible from downtown Amiens (about 5 km). Bring a sturdy bag and small change.
