Flea market and car boot sale organized by Les Cyclos de Caulnes and les Gars de la Rance, town center and lavoir field
Every year in September, the Caulnes town center and the lavoir field host a flea market and car boot sale jointly organized by two local associations: Les Cyclos de Caulnes and the Gars de la Rance. This popular event, without prior reservation, attracts exhibitors and visitors from all over the Dinan region.
Caulnes is a commune of over 2,500 inhabitants located at the crossroads of roads connecting Dinan, Lamballe, and Broons, in the Côtes-d'Armor. The town, crossed by the Rance river and its tributaries, benefits from a privileged geographical location in the heart of inland Brittany. Its lively town center and its restored washhouse provide a pleasant setting for a flea market.
The originality of this flea market lies in its organizers: Les Cyclos de Caulnes, a dynamic local cycling club, and Les Gars de la Rance, a valley association. The profits from the event contribute to the financing of sporting and associative activities in the commune. The atmosphere is relaxed and sporty, reflecting the image of its organizers.
Highlight of this car boot sale: no reservation is necessary. Exhibitors show up on the day and set up in available spots, from 7 am to 5 pm. This ease of access contributes to the popular and spontaneous nature of the event.
