Annual flea market and car boot sale in the center of Sassierges-Saint-Germain, near La Brenne
The brocante of Sassierges-Saint-Germain is a September event that enlivens this rural commune located between Châteauroux and the Brenne Regional Natural Park. Professional and private sellers set up in the village center for a day of outdoor treasure hunting.
Every September, the village of Sassierges-Saint-Germain hosts its annual flea market in the town center, from 7 AM to 7 PM. Professional and private sellers offer furniture, trinkets, old tableware, books, tools, clothing, toys, and collectibles in an authentic country flea market atmosphere. The event is in its 5th edition and gains attractiveness each year.
Sassierges-Saint-Germain is a commune of about 700 inhabitants located about fifteen kilometers south of Châteauroux, at the gates of the Brenne Regional Natural Park. The village spreads across a landscape of hedged meadows and ponds, between the Indre valley and the first ponds of La Brenne. The Saint-Germain church and limestone farms bear witness to a preserved rural heritage.
The event takes place outdoors, in the village streets, offering a pleasant stroll among the stalls. A refreshment stand and on-site catering are available. Entry is free and parking is easy on the outskirts of the village.
The brocante of Sassierges-Saint-Germain returns in September 2026.
