Summer flea market organized by the Pouligny-Notre-Dame Tennis Club, in the heart of Berry
The brocante of Pouligny-Notre-Dame is organized every summer by the local Tennis Club. Exhibitors set up in the village center of this commune located at the foot of the Pouligny hill, between La Châtre and Neuvy-Saint-Sépulchre, to offer antique objects and finds in a preserved rural setting of Berry.
Every July, the Tennis Club de Pouligny-Notre-Dame organizes a flea market in the village streets. Exhibitors – dealers and individuals – offer furniture, tableware, trinkets, books, tools, toys, clothes, and various second-hand items. The event funds the tennis club's activities and enlivens the village life during the summer season.
Pouligny-Notre-Dame is a commune of about 500 inhabitants located in the Boischaut Sud, between La Châtre and Neuvy-Saint-Sépulchre. The village is dominated by the Pierres Jaumâtres, a spectacular granite chaos perched on a hilltop, which is one of the most unique natural sites in Berry. These rocks, piled up by erosion and surrounded by heather moors, offer a striking panorama of the surrounding countryside. George Sand described them in several of her novels. The village's Romanesque church and stone farms complete an endearing rural heritage.
The brocante of Pouligny-Notre-Dame can be extended by a hike to the Pierres Jaumâtres, accessible by a marked trail from the village. Entry to the flea market is free.
The Pouligny-Notre-Dame brocante returns in July 2026, organized by the Tennis Club. Free entry.
