Brocante in the historic heart of Strasbourg on Place du Corbeau
The Place du Corbeau Brocante takes place on Saturday April 18, 2026 on the emblematic Place du Corbeau, in the historic heart of Strasbourg. Nestled between the quai des Bateliers and the pont du Corbeau which spans the Ill, this square steeped in history hosts an intimate brocante in an exceptional heritage setting. Bargain hunters discover a selection of antiques, decorative items, old trinkets, tableware, old linen, jewellery, books and curiosities, in a setting of typically Alsatian half-timbered houses just steps from the cathedral and the historic district of Grande Ile, classified as a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
The Place du Corbeau Brocante is a popular event among Strasbourg bargain hunters, held in one of the most historic places of the old centre. The Place du Corbeau, located on the right bank of the Ill just before the bridge of the same name, owes its name to the old Raven inn (Rabenhof), a medieval hostelry where Turenne, Frederick II of Prussia and Jean-Jacques Rousseau stayed. This unique setting, lined with half-timbered houses and pink sandstone gables, offers exhibitors and visitors an incomparable historical setting. The exhibitors, professionals and individuals, display on trestles their finds: old decorative objects, tableware and porcelain, glassware, trinkets, small furniture, costume and antique jewellery, books and works, old household linen, postcards, maps and stamps.
Place du Corbeau opens directly onto the quai des Bateliers, one of the most picturesque in Strasbourg, which runs along the banks of the Ill opposite the Maison de l'Oeuvre Notre-Dame. Just a few metres away, bargain hunters find the Notre-Dame Cathedral, a Gothic masterpiece, the Petite France, the Rohan Palace and the entire historic heart of the Grande Ile, classified as a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 1988. This brocante is therefore ideally located to be combined with a day of touristic discovery of the Alsatian capital. Its intimate format makes it a friendly event where exchanges between exhibitors and enthusiasts take on their full meaning.
Strasbourg, capital of the Bas-Rhin and seat of the European Parliament, is one of the most active French cities in terms of brocantes, flea markets and garage sales. Throughout the year, the quays, squares and historic districts regularly host sales that contribute to the commercial and cultural animation of the city. The Place du Corbeau Brocante is part of this Strasbourg tradition of urban bargain hunting, which attracts both residents of neighbouring districts and passing tourists and collectors looking for original finds.
