Edition Juin 2025 — Brocante Pêche Maurs
The Maurs Fishing Festival and Flea Market was held on Sunday, June 8, 2025, at the Domaine du Fau pond. Organized by the AAPPMA of La Châtaigneraie, the day combined an exhibition-sale of fishing equipment, trout releases, a fishing competition for children aged 6 to 14, and fly and lure fishing introductions. Local artisans were present, including a rod maker and a basket weaver from Montsalvy. The catering offered spit-roasted pig and fries. The event took place in a friendly atmosphere by the water.

Review of the 2025 edition
On Sunday, June 8, 2025, the Domaine du Fau pond hosted the traditional Fishing Festival and Flea Market, organized by the AAPPMA de la Châtaigneraie. From 8 am, a first trout release opened the festivities, followed at 10 am by a fishing competition for children aged 6 to 14.
The exhibition-sale of fishing equipment, open from 9 am to 5 pm, brought together specialized vendors and artisans. Among the stalls, visitors discovered the work of an artisanal rod maker, a basket weaver from Montsalvy, and an artisan making blue flies. In the afternoon, fishing was open to everyone without a license, with fly and lure introductions. The countryside meal (spit-roasted pig, fries, cheese, dessert) brought together families and enthusiasts in a friendly atmosphere by the water.
