Open-air car boot sale on the Lande meadow in Monts, in the Indre valley
The Monts flea market unfolds on the vast Lande meadow for a day of rural treasure hunting in this Touraine commune nestled between the forest of Chinon and the Indre valley.
The Brocante de Monts takes over the Prairie de la Lande, a beautiful outdoor space on the edge of the village, for a popular car boot sale on May 1st. Private sellers offer furniture, crockery, toys, clothes, books, garden tools, trinkets, vinyl records and all sorts of objects. The generous space of the meadow allows for many stalls in a relaxed and family-friendly atmosphere, conducive to strolling and bargain hunting.
Monts is a commune of about 7,500 inhabitants located south of Tours, in the Indre valley. The municipal territory is backed by the vast Forêt de Chinon and crossed by the river Indre, offering a green and hilly landscape characteristic of southern Touraine. The commune is home to the Château de Candé, famous for hosting the wedding of the Duke of Windsor in 1937, and retains a quality rural heritage.
The car boot sale is open from 6:30 AM to 6 PM. Entry is free for visitors. A 5-meter pitch costs 10 euros. Light catering is available on site.
The Monts flea market returns to the Lande meadow on May 1, 2026.
