Annual flea market in Montlévicq, village in the land of George Sand in the Indre
The Montlévicq flea market brings together around 75 exhibitors in this village in the Boischaut Sud region, in the heart of George Sand's country. A spring event rooted in the Indre valley, between Nohant and La Châtre.
The Brocante de Montlévicq hosts around 75 exhibitors offering a wide range of flea market and second-hand items: rustic furniture, crockery, pottery, tools, old books, toys, vintage clothing, trinkets, embroidered linens, and various curiosities. The event takes place in the village center of this commune in the Boischaut Sud region, in a rural setting that evokes the landscapes described by George Sand in her Berry novels.
Montlévicq is a commune of about 400 inhabitants nestled in the Indre Valley, a few kilometers from La Châtre and the Nohant estate, the famous residence of the writer George Sand. The landscape, typical of the Boischaut Sud region, alternates between green bocage, rolling meadows, and woodlands. The commune is crossed by the Indre river, which meanders through its enclosed valley. This literary territory, nicknamed the Vallée Noire (Black Valley) by George Sand, retains an exceptional rural charm.
The Montlévicq flea market is a great opportunity to discover the land of George Sand while hunting for treasures. Food is available on-site. Admission is free.
The Montlévicq flea market returns on April 26, 2026, with 75 exhibitors.
