The first monthly flea market in Creuse

Les Amis Sostranéens have created a unique event in Creuse: a monthly flea market held every 4th Sunday of the month on the Place d'Armes in La Souterraine. This pioneering initiative responds to a growing demand from bargain hunters and occasional sellers who wanted a regular event in the north of the department.

Place d'Armes, a medieval setting

The flea market is set up in the heart of the historic center of La Souterraine, on the Place d'Armes, near the famous Porte Saint-Jean, an imposing 13th-century fortified gate that bears witness to the city's rich medieval past. This exceptional heritage setting gives the flea market a special charm, between old stones and bargain hunters' stalls.

A market open to all

The monthly flea market welcomes both professionals and individuals. Outdoor pitches are offered at 2 euros per linear meter, while covered spaces are available at 3.50 euros per linear meter. Entry is free for visitors, and a refreshment stand with on-site catering accompanies the day of treasure hunting.
