Traditional flea market and brocante every 1st Sunday of the month around Notre-Dame church in Bergerac
Every first Sunday of the month, Place de Lattre de Tassigny transforms into a vast flea market and brocante at the foot of the majestic Notre-Dame church. This monthly event, which has become an institution in Bergerac, brings together professional dealers and individuals offering a wide range of items: antique furniture, tableware, trinkets, books, vinyl records, vintage clothing, and collectibles.
A sub-prefecture of the Dordogne, Bergerac is a town of nearly 27,000 inhabitants nestled on the banks of the Dordogne, in the heart of the purple Périgord vineyards. Known for its AOC wines (Bergerac, Monbazillac, Pécharmant), the city of Cyrano has a charming historic center with its half-timbered houses and medieval streets. The monthly flea market is part of the vibrant trading tradition of this city, which also hosts a large market on Wednesdays and Saturdays.
The flea market is held from 7 am to 1 pm, allowing you to combine early morning hunting with a stroll through old Bergerac and lunch in one of the many restaurants in the town center. Entry is free for visitors. The architectural setting of Place de Lattre de Tassigny, dominated by the Notre-Dame bell tower, adds a special charm to this stroll among the stalls.
From Périgueux, take the D660 towards Bergerac (approx. 50 minutes). From Bordeaux, take the A89 then the D936 (approx. 1 hour 30 minutes). Parking available in the town center car parks.
