Every summer, the association Les Amis de la Tour de Teyssieu organizes the village's summer flea market and car boot sale, one of the most popular events in the Haut-Quercy region. At the foot of the medieval tower, about fifty exhibitors set up their stalls to offer flea market items, antiques, furniture, tableware, clothing, and all sorts of curiosities in an exceptional heritage setting.
What makes the Teyssieu flea market unique is its setting: the medieval village of Teyssieu, perched in the heights of the Haut-Quercy, with its medieval tower overlooking the surroundings. Coming to hunt for treasures in Teyssieu also means discovering a village of character, visiting its Prehistory Museum, climbing to the top of the medieval tower, and savoring the art of living of the causse regions of Corrèze and Lot.
The Teyssieu flea market is not limited to second-hand stalls. The association Les Amis de la Tour also offers parallel exhibitions of paintings, sculptures, and photographs, guided tours of the Prehistory Museum, climbs to the top of the medieval tower, and a tour of the village church. Catering is provided by the Table de la Tour, which offers local and regional cuisine in a bucolic setting.
A unique aspect of the Teyssieu flea market: participation is completely free for exhibitors, whether they are individuals or professionals. This generosity from the organization attracts a wide variety of exhibitors and ensures a diverse and high-quality offering for visitors. Admission is also free for the public.
