Urval, a village with a medieval communal oven

Urval is a discreet village in the Céou valley, nestled between Le Buisson-de-Cadouin and Belvès. It is famous for its exceptional medieval communal oven, one of the best-preserved in France, classified as a historic monument. This 14th-century communal oven, with its stone vault and imposing chimney, bears witness to peasant life in Périgord in the Middle Ages. The May 8th flea market is the perfect opportunity to discover this heritage while enjoying a day of outdoor bargain hunting.
