Flea market of May 8th in Le Tranger, village of Champagne berrichonne in the Indre
The brocante du Tranger animates this small village of Champagne berrichonne on the occasion of May 8th. A friendly event in a typical rural setting of Berry, between Issoudun and Châteauroux.
The Brocante du Tranger is held on the occasion of May 8th, a public holiday that allows bargain hunters to take their time browsing the stalls. Exhibitors offer an assortment of second-hand and flea market items: crockery, trinkets, tools, books, toys, clothes, small furniture, antique linens and various curiosities. The atmosphere is that of an authentic country flea market, where prices are low and good humor is contagious.
Le Tranger is a small commune of about 300 inhabitants located in the Champagne berrichonne, between Issoudun and Châteauroux. The village is part of the open and rolling landscape of the large cereal crops of central Indre. The commune retains its church and a discreet but endearing rural heritage, with its limestone farms and Berrichonne barns. The area offers beautiful walks in the surrounding countryside.
The brocante du Tranger is a popular event for locals for its friendliness. The refreshments are run by local volunteers. Admission is free.
The brocante du Tranger returns on May 8, 2026.
