The Champhol Flea Market: over 30 years of tradition

Every first Sunday of April, the town of Champhol (28300), near Chartres, hosts its grand annual flea market organized by the Comité des fêtes. In its 34th edition in 2025, this event is one of the oldest and most popular in the Chartres area. It brings together around 300 exhibitors in two complementary spaces: the covered village hall and the outdoor rue Jean Moulin.

Two spaces to browse indoors or outdoors

The two-zone setup offers exhibitors and visitors a choice between the covered indoor space—ideal in unpredictable weather—and the outdoor area for larger items. Outdoor pitches are available for €9 for 2 linear meters, while covered pitches cost €12 for 2 meters. Registration is by phone at 06 86 91 72 65. Given the event's popularity, early registration is recommended.

A team of dedicated volunteers

The Comité des fêtes de Champhol is an association entirely composed of volunteers who dedicate their time to animating the life of the town. Besides the spring flea market, the Committee organizes shows for schoolchildren on the occasion of the Saint-Denis festival in October and a themed dinner dance in November. The flea market is the highlight of their calendar and a pillar of Champhol's community dynamism.

Generous hours for early birds

Doors open at 8:00 AM for early birds, until 6:00 PM. Entry is free for visitors. The diversity of stalls—furniture, tableware, clothing, books, trinkets, toys, and collectibles—ensures that every visitor can leave with a find.
