Friendly flea market at Bistro 28, between antique hunting and family entertainment
Every May 1st, the Bistro 28 restaurant in Lesménils opens its large parking lot to antique hunters and exhibitors for a large open-air flea market. Located at exit 28 of the A31 motorway, in the place called Tête de Saint Euchamp, this well-known establishment in the Mussipontine region transforms for a day into a lively and friendly flea market. Between 50 and 100 exhibitors, both individuals and professionals, set up shop to offer their finds to visitors.
From 6 a.m. to 7 p.m., visitors can browse the stalls in search of bargains: trinkets, antique tableware, furniture, clothing, toys, and various objects. The event is not limited to antique hunting: a musical atmosphere sets the rhythm of the day, entertainment is specially planned for children, and the catering at Bistro 28 provides drinks and light refreshments from morning to evening to delight everyone's taste buds. Moments of relaxation and treats punctuate this day where conviviality and good deals mix harmoniously.
Lesménils is a small village of about 480 inhabitants located in the canton of Pont-à-Mousson, in Meurthe-et-Moselle. Nestled along the A31 motorway connecting Nancy and Metz, this village benefits from remarkable accessibility which greatly contributes to the attendance of this spring flea market. The green surroundings, between the Moselle valley and wooded hillsides, offer a bucolic setting for this day of antique hunting. Bistro 28, a well-established local restaurant, contributes to the site's attractiveness by regularly hosting festive events throughout the year.
Spaces are offered at a rate of €2 per linear meter, with a minimum of 6 meters if the exhibitor wishes to keep their vehicle in their space. Registration is mandatory and a form can be downloaded from the classified ad websites. A appreciated feature: the exhibition is completely free for residents of Lesménils, an initiative that reinforces the village and solidarity character of the event. Exhibitors can set up from 5 a.m., allowing them to arrange their stands comfortably before the first visitors arrive at 6 a.m.
