A Legendary Flea Market on the Marne Islands

Since 1986, each spring, the Brise-Pain and Sainte-Catherine islands in Créteil become the stage for one of Île-de-France's most beloved flea markets. Organised by the ASBCA association, this event has grown into the largest brocante in the Val-de-Marne department, attracting over 300 vendors and nearly 10,000 visitors annually. The 2026 edition marks its remarkable 40th anniversary.

A Unique Natural Setting

What sets the Brocante des Îles apart is its breathtaking setting: two small islands nestled between the Bras du Chapitre waterway and the Marne river, accessible on foot from the Pont de Créteil. Visitors browse stalls amid lush greenery, with the sound of gently flowing water — a rare escape just minutes from Paris.
