The 48h des Grivelles: Sancoins' big popular festival

For several years, the Jeunes Agriculteurs (JA) and the AESC of Sancoins have been organizing the 48h des Grivelles, a two-day festive event that enlivens the Parc des expositions des Grivelles, avenue Louis et Auguste Massé. This late-summer gathering has become a must-attend event in the south of the Cher department, attracting families, bargain hunters, and agricultural machinery enthusiasts.

A flea market at the heart of the festival

The flea market is one of the pillars of the event. Between 50 and 100 exhibitors, individuals and professionals, set up their stalls within the exhibition center grounds. You can find trinkets, antique objects, clothing, tableware, tools, and curiosities of all kinds. Bargain hunters enjoy the festive atmosphere to find good deals while discovering the other attractions.

A rich and varied program

Beyond the flea market, the 48h des Grivelles offers a unique drift show, an exhibition of trucks and agricultural machinery, a producers' market, a funfair, and, on Saturday evening, a concert meal with an orchestra. Inter-association activities complete a program designed to appeal to all generations.

Sancoins, capital of the livestock market

Sancoins, a small town in the south of the Cher department, is historically known for its livestock market, one of the last in France. The Grivelles exhibition center, usually dedicated to agricultural fairs, transforms for a weekend into a place of celebration and conviviality, true to the rural and warm spirit of the region.
