Bargain hunting around the village square
In early July, Quesnoy-le-Montant hosts its annual flea market organised around the village square. In this charming Ponthieu village, a few kilometres from Abbeville, the event combines friendly bargain hunting and Picard village atmosphere. Private sellers from the village and surrounding communes exhibit a fine variety of objects, in the authentic spirit of rural Somme flea markets.
The choice of the village square as the centre of gravity of the flea market is not insignificant: this is traditionally where markets and fairs were held.
Quesnoy-le-Montant is a small commune of around 700 inhabitants located in the Ponthieu, a few kilometres north-west of Abbeville.
Like all Ponthieu and Abbevillois flea markets, the Quesnoy-le-Montant one offers the classic range of rural Picard events.
The annual Quesnoy-le-Montant flea market is an eagerly awaited rendezvous for residents.
Quesnoy-le-Montant is ideally located to extend the bargain-hunting morning with a discovery of Abbeville and the Bay of Somme.
